From
all reports I've seen today the mooning on July 9th
went off well again without any need for law enforcement
intervention. It appears that the Laguna Niguel Fun Police want very badly
to shut the event down and so far have not done so..

Laguna Niguel: A more modest year for Moon Amtrak?

If you missed the 30th Annual Mooning [2009]
of the Amtrak,
you didn't miss a hell of a lot..
I think there were damn near as many cops as there were mooners..
I would estimate what I saw were around 30-50 people attending
[at least while I was there] tops!
Unfortunately, the assholes won.. I'm referring to the ones that came
to the mooning last year [2008] and got WAY out of hand..
Like total nudity, one couple screwing on the sidewalk,
public urination and defecation, people giving alcohol to minors, etc..
I don't know any of this first hand, but only can rely on what I read
of last year's event, and the information I got talking
to one of the sheriffs this year..
I can see both sides of the issue and understand why they clamped
down on it so hard, but still.. The earlier moonings that I/we attended
were a hell of a lot of fun!
